Video may autoplay only when viewable. Sound is enabled only when the reader chooses to unmute.
The video is clearly labelled, pauses when it leaves the viewport and resumes only under controlled playback rules.
Inline playback, touch-friendly controls, poster loading and adaptive layout for desktop, mobile, tablet and PWA.
Starts, viewability, quartiles, completions, sound interactions and CTA clicks are measured separately.
Worldwide campaigns can appear to all eligible readers. Country-targeted campaigns store selected ISO country codes and are served only when the visitor’s country code, supplied by the website’s CDN or edge proxy, matches the campaign. Category targeting independently checks the article desk. If reliable country information is unavailable, a restricted campaign is not served.
Display campaigns use paid-first, adaptive fair delivery. Standard and Category Targeted campaigns use the standard scheduler weight and Premium Priority uses a three-times base weight. Recency and any configured delivery target can adjust pacing so underdelivering campaigns receive a controlled boost while older active campaigns remain eligible. Existing display placements are not replaced by the video product.
Video advertising uses a separate eligibility and adaptive fair-rotation pool. On each video opportunity, the system checks payment, status, active dates, creative validity, category, country and reader frequency preference. Standard and Category Targeted Video use the standard scheduler weight; Premium Priority Video uses a three-times base weight. Recency and any configured delivery target influence pacing so new campaigns join the same pool without automatically forcing older active campaigns out of delivery.
To reduce repetitive exposure, video uses a soft frequency preference. When alternative eligible campaigns exist, a campaign that has already recorded two viewable impressions for the same consent-backed first-party advertising session within a rolling 24-hour period is deprioritised. If no alternative eligible campaign is available, the paid campaign may continue to serve rather than leaving inventory blank. If advertising storage is not permitted, the system does not create an IP-based persistent frequency identity.
Fair allocation does not guarantee a fixed number of impressions, clicks, unique people or conversions because traffic, targeting, campaign overlap, reader location, consent settings and viewability vary. Reporting reflects measured activity rather than estimated or generated results.
Direct video submissions use browser-compatible MP4, 6–30 seconds and a maximum file size of 15 MB; H.264 is recommended for the widest browser support. Landscape, portrait and square source resolutions are accepted, and the publisher player automatically fits the creative inside its responsive 16:9 stage without stretching or cropping. A JPG, PNG or WebP poster can be supplied, or the submission form can generate one from the video when the browser supports it; supplied posters are automatically normalized for responsive delivery. WebVTT captions are supported and strongly recommended for spoken creative. The advertiser must own or hold all commercial rights and licences required for the video, voice, music, logos, poster, captions and other supplied assets.
Video creative is lazy-loaded near the placement rather than downloaded with the initial article render. Playback starts muted, sound remains under reader control, the player pauses when it is no longer sufficiently visible, and mobile playback remains inline where the browser permits. Browser accessibility, reduced-motion and autoplay restrictions are respected.
Payment does not guarantee approval. We do not accept recruitment-fee schemes, paid job offers, guaranteed employment or visas, misleading earnings, malware, counterfeit goods, adult content, discriminatory recruitment, unlawful products, deceptive financial promotions, unverified medical claims or creative used without the necessary rights.
Advertisements must identify the real advertiser, use an HTTPS destination and accurately describe the offer. Advertisers must hold the necessary commercial rights for all creative, including display images. Paid destinations use sponsored and nofollow link attributes. We do not sell editorial do-follow links or ranking credit, and we may pause or remove unsafe, misleading, materially changed or rights-infringing campaigns.
Campaign duration begins after approval, payment verification and activation. Campaigns run for 15 or 30 consecutive calendar days. Active campaigns are normally non-refundable. If we reject a campaign before activation, verified payment will be refunded. Technical downtime exceeding 24 hours will be added to the duration where reasonably verifiable.
For display advertising, an impression records creative delivery and a viewable impression requires at least 50% visibility for approximately one second. For video advertising, reporting can include impressions, starts, 25%, 50% and 75% progress, completions, mute/unmute actions and CTA clicks. A video viewable event requires at least 50% of the placement to remain visible for approximately two continuous seconds.
Rapid duplicate events are filtered using signed delivery tokens and one-way event hashes. Raw IP addresses are not stored in the advertising event table. Unique reach remains an estimate because privacy controls, browsers and multiple devices prevent exact person-level measurement.
World Careers Hub may place 20% of monthly net eligible paid display and video advertising revenue into a shared author pool after payment, refund and invalid-traffic review. Author allocation is a separate publisher liability based on trusted reader engagement, not an extra advertiser charge and not a financial balance attached to an advertiser account. House ads contribute no revenue. If no eligible paid-ad revenue is recognized for a month, the author pool and author earnings are USD 0 regardless of reads. This programme does not duplicate campaign revenue, change paid-first delivery or create an advertiser or author performance guarantee.
Display creative accepts JPG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB. Video creative follows the dedicated requirements above. Approved files are stored in database-backed media storage. Raw scripts and executable advertiser HTML are not accepted. The platform generates the responsive placement from approved campaign fields and HTTPS destinations.
